Pukka Christmas Calendar 5 December – tea & quote

Pukka Christmas Calendar day 5

Get ready to fly with Pukka:

‘Feel your cares fly away on zesty wings of lemongrass & ginger. Goodbye clouds, hello twinkling starts in the sky’.

Makes me thinking about my first cup of tea made of only lemongrass. Served on Koh Samui, Thailand.

I have never had this kind of tea before, but it was truly awesome. The same goes for ginger tea, made of only ginger. You should try it. Enjoy with honey if you like.

All you have to do is cutting the lemongrass or the ginger into small pieces, pour hot water over, wait 5 – 10 minutes and then you’ll have a really tasty tea. But it does require some work and then it is faster to have a Pukka tea 😉

Tasting Pukka Lemongrass & Ginger

This tea is made of lemongrass, ginger, licorice and lemon verbena.

I like this tea as expected! Warming and uplifting. A really good combination of herbs. The mix with ginger gives it a spicy finish.

Ginger helps balance both Vata and Kapha types according to the ayurvedic science, so I think this tea could also benefit my husband (Kapha).

Good advices for the Kapha types

As I talked about in the previous posts the Ayurvedic philosophy divides people into three types. Read more about the Ayurvedic philosophy here.

The Kapha type is described as slow, wet, heavy, firm and cold as its elements are water and soil.

This goes for the Kapha element:

  • saunaAlways eat a light dinner
  • Hold on to sweets
  • Limit the intake of fat and dairy products
  • Hot food and drinks are best for you
  • Eat light food with weight on strong and bitter
  • Get at least one-quarter of exercise every day where you get the pulse up
  • Outdoor activities with an element of excitement will give you energy
  • Go to the sauna
  • Do not sleep too much
  • Regularly take a fasting day

I think I should show my husband these advices 🙂

Kapha is usually the largest of the body types, they easily gain weight and find it difficult to loose weight. Physically, they have wide hips and shoulders, thick, slightly curly hair and good physical endurance.

Exercise is crucial for keeping Kapha people in balance. If you have a Kapha body type, you have to get out to move.

I am amazed about the accuracy in this science. Don’t hesitate trying the test.

Do the test here.

Quote 5 December

‘When the past comes knocking, don’t answer. It has nothing new to tell you.’

I like this quote, because I have had a challenging childhood.

But as the years have passed, I slowly but sure started to reconcile myself with the past. And now my parents are both ‘on the other side’.. So everything is okay 😀

The quote is by ‘Anonymous’.

Wishing you a very nice Pukka day ♥
